황우석: Wired is reporting that famous/infamous South Korean researcher Hwang Woo-suk is collecting DNA samples from a frozen Siberian woolly mammoth. Hwang believes that a sufficient number of samples should allow him to identify damaged DNA segments and to reconstruct a complete genetic structure for the animal, leading to the eventual recovery of an intact, albeit reconstructed, strand of the mammoth's DNA.
